Starting with a solid roots foundation, the Happiness Riddim enhances its serious roots credentials beginning with the first track on the album, Lutan Fyah’s “Kingston 7 to 13”, in which the deejay lends his voice to the voiceless struggling in Jamaica’s capital city. Sizzla regains the roots groove that made him a worldwide phenomenon on “Got To Praise Jah” and Perfect is able to link a powerful roots consciousness with an energetic poetic flow on “The King”. Warrior King maintains the vibes on the universal “Where Color Is No Issue” and Jigsy King’s “Conquer Dem” offers a unique alternative for dancehall fans as well. Outstanding contributions by Nanko (“Maybe”), Norris Man (“Time Shall Reveal”) and Natural Black (“Nother Picture”) show no efforts were wasted on the Happiness Riddim. Rocky One and Zojak World Wide are pleased to announce the special digital release of a reggae classic, More Culture, this time with a new name, More Innocent Blood. Originally released by the late Joe Gibbs on vinyl in 1978/79 and later on CD in 1991 as a collection of eight songs, in its latest incarnation, More Innocent Blood now boasts 14 classic songs from the classic roots reggae harmony trio, Culture. This particular collection will only be available digitally and for the first time features the immortal Joseph Hill on extended 12” releases joined by Clint Eastwood, U Brown and Prince Far I on select tracks. One-of-a-kind dub instrumentals add to the uniqueness of More Innocent Blood.


Rocky Gibbs, Joe Gibbs son, says he felt compelled to do something special following the passing of Joseph Hill in August 2006 and Joe Gibbs in February 2008. Starting with the eight original tracks on More Culture (Innocent Blood, Iniquity Worker, Iron Sharpeneth Iron, Weeping And Wailing, Callie Weed Song, More Vacancy, Play Skillfully and White Belly Rats) Rocky Gibbs added extended 12” mixes of “Show Me My Enemy” featuring Prince Far I and “Send Some Rain - One Fe De Money” featuring Clint Eastwood as well as “Burning & Illusion - Same Knife” again featuring Prince Far I. Never before released on CD, “Burning & Illusion” was originally banned when first released in 1978. Dub versions of Innocent Blood (“Innocent Dub), Weeping and Wailing (“Weeping and Dubbing”) and “Burning & Illusion” (“Burning & Illusion In Dub”) make this album one of the most artistically encompassing Culture albums ever.

Culture burst on the scene in 1977 with the seminal Two Sevens Clash. Steeped in Rastafarian belief and the notion that the number “7” is a powerful sign of the divine, the title track to the album suggested the coming of a judgment day on the 7th day of the seventh month in 1977. While the day passed without judgment, Two Sevens Clash was a bold political and cultural statement nonetheless, contributed to reggae’s international appeal particularly in the London punk scene and was recognized as one of the 50 Coolest Albums of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine (coming in at #25). Rooted as it is in the album More Culture and now joined by crucial selections from the same time period, More Innocent Blood contains a direct link to the edgy, political tact Joseph Hill, Albert Walker and Kenneth Dayes started in the mid-1970s. Backed by actual instrumentalists Cornell Campbell gets things started on “Boxing” with a smooth grace that belies the wicked vibes the song emits. Barry Brown’s “Dem A Fight”, Jimmy Riley’s “In The Springtime” and Johnny Clarke’s “Don’t Feel Like Talking” are more strong selections from three of Jamaica’s most renowned roots vocalists. Kojak & Liza bring in the deejay segment on “Bam Bam” while Baby Wayne keeps it going with his lyrical flow on “Bawl”. TruckBack Records’ new DashBoard Riddim is driven to please dancehall and reggae fans worldwide

TruckBack Records is pleased to announce the release of its latest riddim project, The DashBoard Riddim. Now available digitally on I-Tunes and e-tailers worldwide the Dashboard will be available at the end of March on 7” via Energy Beat Distribution in Kingston, Jamaica. The Dashboard follows up on the widely acclaimed Clutch (2008), Ole Axle (2008) and Gearbox (2008) Riddims. Led off by the Energy God and Grammy nominee, Elephant Man (“Nah Beg Dem Nutten”), the Dashboard combines a driving dancehall beat with TruckBack’s catchy melodies and heavy reggae bass lines that will ram any dance floor. The Dashboard also includes respected lyricists and international stars Bugle, Erup, Anthony B and Mr. Lexx. Erup, one of Jamaica’s brightest young stars, whose song on the Gearbox riddim (Click My Finger) recently spent a number of weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 R&B/Hip Hop Chart utilizes the most of his subtle energy and raw talent once again on “Mek Noise”, a track which is bound to keep Erup in the spotlight for years to come. Boasting what is quickly becoming one of dancehall’s most iconic voices, Bugle delivers his signature laid-back style and lyrics prowess to “Fluffy”, a tribute to his favorite kind of woman. Anthony B, probably the most consistent reggae artist of his generation, doesn’t lose a step as he teases listeners with his vocal skills on “Position”. And Flippa Mafia, who burst on the dancehall in 2008 with “Dem Yah” is included here with his track, “Wasp”. Jamaica’s ‘rising star’ and R&B influenced Christopher Martin dips into dancehall innuendo with the playful confidence of a veteran on “Want Mi Ting” and with “Ghetto PartyNew Kidz demonstrates why Buju Banton has been grooming this artist over many others. On Motherless Child Teflon combines intelligent lyrics, a catchy flow and wicked riddims for a strong debut effort. “Jah Jah Love”, which made Teflon a household name in 2004, established the artist’s reputation as a conscious singer with edgy overtones that are difficult to ignore.
