THE JANUARY MORNING RIDDIM LIKE WAKING UP IN JAMAICA

Free Willy Records is pleased to announce the release of The January Morning Riddim in cooperation with Zojak World Wide, the leader in digital distribution of reggae music. Originally released in 2005, January Morning includes some of the biggest names of today. Tanya Stephens, Gyptian, Warrior King, Anthony B, Lady Saw, Sanchez and more whose contributions reflect in part the popular emphasis on the new style of roots and culture at that time. Here, Free Willy’s bright melody and light production floats on top of a minimal one-drop drum beat. January Morning riddim is now available on Itunes and e-tailers worldwide.

Zahair gets things started on the title track while Lutan Fyah (“A Mother’s Love”), Gyptian (“Crying”) and Sanchez (“From D Beginning”) maintain the smooth vibes. The January Morning riddim also includes the woman’s perspective, one that demands the attention of both women and men, on “Home Alone” (Tanya Stephens) and “Woman Power” (D’Angel). Warrior King (Place of Peace) and the combination of Perfect & Natural Black (Black Warrian) provide crucial messages of social consciousness while Lady Saw (“Addicted”), Anthony B (“Meaning Of Love”) and Tony Curtis (Macoy) get serious about reality in life and love. Frankie Paul (“One And Only”) just wants his baby “to let me know if you still my one and only” and Kananga (“Not That Easy”) answers with “she says it’s over/not so easy/ I thought you were mine”. Featuring top artists with experience in roots and dancehall reggae, January Morning offers smart commentary and catchy riddims, providing something for everyone with which to start the day.

XTERMINATOR DIGS DEEP FOR SPECIAL DIGITAL RELEASE

PREVIEW THE XTERMINATOR ALBUM HERE

Xterminator Productions and Zojak World Wide are proud to share a powerful collection of conscious reggae music from the production house widely recognized for bringing back the power of roots reggae music in modern times. Digital Singles From The Xterminator Vaults contains outstanding efforts from Turbulence, Buju Banton, Gentleman, Lutan Fyah, Sizzla, Luciano, Ras Shiloh, Beres Hammond and more, whose musical atmosphere is reminiscent of Xterminator productions such as Sizzla’s Black Woman and Child and Luciano’s Messenger, seminal albums that allowed roots consciousness to reclaim its rightful place in reggae and world music circles internationally. The album is now available on Itunes and e-tailers everywhere.

Here, on Digital Singles From The Xterminator Vaults, the combination of Bunny Rugs & Lutan Fyah on “Africa” sets the tone for the album while Buju Banton’s relentless energy on “O My Father” captures the prevailing upbeat dancehall vibes. “Let Love” from Luciano and “Goodness And Mercy” from Sizzla and Ini Kamoze both recapture the style that made them who they are today. Versatility has always been a hallmark of Phillip “Fattis” Burrell’s Xterminator record label and Jack Radics & General Degree show Fattis hasn’t lost his touch on “Lover’s Question”, a seamless combination of Jack Radic’s vocal range and General Degree’s deejay skills. Two contributions from international lover’s reggae icon Beres Hammond, “Woman Of My Life” and “You Don’t Know Me” make Digital Singles From The Xterminator Vaults a sweet departure from conventional Xterminator releases that have focused on in-house artists. Jimmy Riley’s “I-O” is a playful play on words riding over the XYZ riddim and Ras Shiloh offers a crucial take on the importance of “Faith And Hope” in his signature roots and gospel style.

The range and depth of Xterminator productions means one doesn’t have to dig deep to find the hits. However, sometimes one does have to wait patiently for the hits to be released. Thankfully, Digital Singles From The Xterminator Vaults will meet the conscious and dancehall needs of reggae and urban music fans alike for a long time to come.
