KARMA RIDDIM REACHES A HIGHER LEVEL ON ITUNES AND ETAILERS EVERYWHERE

Arrows Productions and Zojak World Wide are very pleased to make one of the sweetest one drop riddims, THE KARMA RIDDIM, available to the world. Featuring the finest vocalists: Jah Cure, Gyptian, I-Octaine, Voicemail and Higher Tone, The Karma Riddim is a must have collection of meaningful, modern lovers reggae music. The Karma Riddim is now available on Itunes and etailers everywhere.

At a time when music seems to be sped up to the point where listeners can’t enjoy the vibes or the lyrics, Arrows brings forward a riddim set that is meant to be heard, from beginning to end, over and over. The harmony trio, Voicemail, offers up an outstanding effort on “Time” in which the at once familiar and reassuring story of love on the rocks is told in a fresh, passionate voice. Gyptian, whose voice could be the one that defines the current generation of lovers reggae, has another signature tune with “I Love You” and I-Octane solidifies his roots street cred on “Mama You Alone”, an emotional song with a deejay’s edge that has burned up Jamaican radio and dance sessions internationally. Jah Cure’s “(You Don’t) Understand Me” captures the same vibe that helped him catch the world’s attention and Higher Tone takes a refreshing R&B approach on “More” to seal up the Karma Riddim on an up-to-the-time note. Indeed, including the instrumental track, this special edition EP from Arrows and Zojak World Wide offers more of what roots and lovers reggae fans want and it’s available on Itunes and other fine etailers right now.

RAIN WATA RIDDIM & MAMA RIDDIMS THE FOCUS OF TAD'S NEW RIDDIM RULER ALBUM

Tad’s International Rain Wata and Mama Riddim Riddim Ruler album is a moving production, this time featuring the Cutstone Records produced Rain Wata Riddim. Composed by Joe Keys and recorded with a fresh rootsy perspective in Cutstone’s St. Ann’s-based studio, the Rain Wata is at once both familiar and new. Chezidek (“Sun Or Rain”), Perfect (“Police Boy”) and Kali Blaxx (“One Smoke”) provide strong name recognition but it’s the new names that give the riddim its legs. Zahmunda’s “Jah Love Surrounds Me” has had the ear of Jamaica since the riddim was released in 2008 and “In The Rain” promises to be a breakout song for St. Ann’s own Loaded, from the group SLR. “One And Only” is a powerful R&B combination from St. Croix artists, Cherise King and Chai while Mr. Groove’s “Beautiful Morning” and Kharuso’s “Inna Di Garrison” are soulful songs possessing a passion rarely heard today. Tad’s International also includes the Mama Riddim, a cool 2009 roots riddim release with acoustic guitar riffs played in style. Anthony B’s “Don’t Worry No More” is a conscious recording with strong words of righteousness and Cobra offers an outstanding conscious effort as well on “One Day” while Cutty Corn’s “Life Nuh Easy” and Ras Frazer’s “Be Strong” have the ability to lift up the vibes in even the most down-pressing situation. Indeed, Tad’s Riddim Ruler: Rain Wata & Mama Riddims will be a waterfall of joy for fans of roots and reggae music.

TAD'S INTERNATIONAL & ZOJAK WORLD WIDE SHOW NATIONAL PRIDE IS A PERFECT 10

A leading international musical ambassador for Jamaican, Beenie Man, is the first to state his case on the National Pride riddim with “Have A Good Time”. Charly Black, the voice of a new generation of deejays, shows exactly how to do that on “Turn & Twist” while Elephant Man energy keeps the focus on dancing with “Run Dem Away”. Jamaica’s leading dancer, Chi Ching partners with Sambonie on “You Fi Move”. Another pioneering dance innovator, Ding Dong, represents with “No Man Room” and Kiprich links up with Black ER for the playful “Ugly So”. Sanjay’s breakthrough “National Pride” title track and “The Garden”, a strong combination features the rough and ready deejaying of Degree and the sweet singing of Lukie D. The Perfect 10 riddim, a pop friendly beat with a Caribbean edge, closes out the album with five outstanding tracks. Cecile’s “Burning Up” sets a seductive, summer season tone as Elephant Man (”Go Easy”) and Tony Matterhorn (“In The Rain”) level the vibes to make the riddim set a perfect one for any party this summer. This special edition of Riddim Ruler includes the bonus Arif Cooper and Carlington Morrison produced hit “Bill Gates Money” from Sanjay & Dazzla. Of course, Riddim Ruler makes the instrumental versions of each riddim available as well!

POIRIER ready for Europe dates with MC Zulu - don't miss out

While many struggle to label his sound as either dancehall, soca, or electro, Poirier, signed to Ninja Tune, takes just what he needs leaving a trail of packed, chaotic dance floors in his wake.

Fresh off touring in support of the "Soca Sound System" EP (which saw him traveling the world solo and with Daedelus, South Rakkas Crew, and others), Poirier is shifting gears to run riddims.

In advance of his next EP "Run The Riddim" (September), which will feature cuts with Jamaican dancehall legend Burro Banton, long time collaborators Face T & MC Zulu, as well as UK reggae sensation YT, Poirier is hitting UK/Europe with MC Zulu.

Run The Riddim
is the 2nd in a series of 3 EP's being released this year, all leading up to Poirier's album release in 2010.

POIRIER feat. MC ZULU EUROPE DATES...

7/10 - FABRIC - room 1 / London, UK
7/11 - Montreux Jazz Festival / Montreux, Switzerland
7/12 - Splash Festival / Leipzig, Germany
7/15 - KB18 / Copenhagen, Denmark
7/16 - Dour Festival / Dour, Belgium
7/17 - D:qliq / Luxembourg
7/18 - Glade Festival / Winchester, UK

"Montreal’s indie guitar bands got plenty of coverage last year, but in 2008 they might be usurped by Ninja Tune-signed hip-hop producer Poirier. The French-Canuck connoisseur of grime, booty bass, ragga and “world riddum idioms” makes music that is accessible, innovative and above all danceable."
James McNair in THE INDEPENDENT (UK)
